The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogunmakin Command, visited McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, to strengthen collaboration and support community safety initiatives.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogunmakin Command, visited McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, to strengthen collaboration and support community safety initiatives.

The delegation, led by Unit Commander ACC PD Gogomi, included the Unit Head of Operations, OA Adeleye; Clinic Head CT Folarin; and newly posted medical personnel ACI Israel Abiolú. The visit was also attended by the Head of McPherson University’s Special Marshal Unit, Dr. Paul Ojo.

ACC Gogomi explained that the visit aligned with directives from the Corps Marshal to engage host communities in equipping the Sheu Mohammed RTC Clinic in Ogunmakin. He highlighted that the newly deployed medical personnel would support the commencement of full medical operations at the clinic and presented a formal request for essential medical equipment to the Vice-Chancellor.

In response, Vice-Chancellor Professor Francis Igbasan commended the FRSC team for their commitment to road safety and emergency response, acknowledging the longstanding partnership between McPherson University and the Corps. He assured support, pledging to review the request and assist in providing the necessary equipment.

OA Adeleye expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reiterated the Corps’ commitment to collaborating with the University in traffic management and related community safety initiatives.

The visit concluded with both parties reaffirming their dedication to enhancing public safety, community health support, and operational cooperation between McPherson University and the FRSC Ogunmakin Command.
