FULafia Partners with Canadian Education Council to Boost Global Youth Employability

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Partnerships), of Federal University of Lafia, Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri Hassan, recently, represented the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, in receiving a delegation from the Canadian Education Council in Nigeria.

The delegation, led by Dr Adenoyi John, came to the University to propose the establishment of an International Career Centre.

Dr John said the initiative would enhance students’ global employability and bridge the gap between academic training and labour market demands.

He noted the council’s existing partnerships with 18 Nigerian institutions, expressing his interest in collaborating with FULafia to address skills gaps among graduates.

The vice-chancellor, in his response, thanked members of the delegation for finding FULafia suitable for the project. 

He expressed appreciation for their visit to the University, noting that FULafia places a high premium on the employability of its graduates.
