In a strategic move toward the official unveiling of the Minetech Unipod, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), hosted a pre-launch event titled “Ideation/Ecosystem Mixer” on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The event, held at the NSUK Unipod, was designed to activate the innovation hub, sensitize the ecosystem, engage critical stakeholders, and expand participation across key sectors within Nigeria’s minerals development space.

The sensitization workshop brought together a diverse range of participants, including representatives from universities, Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), mining companies, and host communities. It also provided in-depth insights into the objectives, facilities, and programme offerings of the Minetech Unipod.

Key objectives of the pre-launch engagement included generating early momentum within the mineral development ecosystem; transforming the Minetech Unipod from a physical facility into a vibrant innovation ecosystem; identifying opportunities and addressing challenges across the mining value chain; and providing mentorship and career development support for emerging talents.
