FULafia VC applauds Aminu on software development as corps member wins N700,000 WEMA Bank award

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has congratulated Bagudu Aminu, a graduate of Economics Department of FULafia, for developing a dynamic online application called ‘You2Me’ to connect service providers and their potential clients across Nigeria. 

Bagudu's App won the first runner up prize  of WEMA Bank, Minna Branch, Niger State. 

The presentation of the prize  was organised by WEMA Bank Minna Branch at Niger State, NYSC orientation Camp, Piko, in Paiko Local Government area of the state.

The vice-chancellor, Federal University of Lafia, represented by the Deputy Director, Centre for Cultural Studies and Head, Curriculum Development in the Directorate of Academy Planning, Dr Alhassan Abdulkareem, said that Bagudu Aminu, who is currently youth corps member at the orientation camp, won WEMA Bank Business Competition prize, N700,000,  for creating You2Me platform.

He said the platform which was designed to serve as a bridge between Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and potential clients or customers in Nigeria, would also connect users seamlessly for skilled local services right in Nigeria.

The vice-chancellor said: "The application  streamlines connections between service-based SMEs (plumbers, tailors, carpenters, nannies, etc.) and clients seeking these services. It also connects sellers of diverse products to their potential buyers."

In his remark, the Commandant of the Niger State NYSC Orientation Camp, Major F.A. John, applauded Bagudu, encouraging other corps members to develop their talents and skills for positive transformation of the nation.
