FULafia Vice-Chancellor Inspects Hostel Renovations, Reaffirms Student Welfare Priority

Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), conducted a comprehensive site inspection of ongoing hostel renovations at the University’s Permanent Site Campus.

The inspection, aimed at assessing progress and ensuring compliance with quality standards, underscores the administration's commitment to providing a safe and comfortable living environment for its student body. During the visit, Prof. Abdul Rahman engaged with contractors and university officials, emphasizing that timely completion and strict adherence to specifications are non-negotiable.

 The University Management recently announced an adjustment to the academic calendar due to these renovation delays. Students will continue attending lectures online until January 30, 2026, when physical resumption on campus is scheduled to commence. 

Revised Hostel Timeline:

Hostel Portal Opening: January 12, 2026.

Room Allocation Begins: January 19, 2026.

Full Physical Resumption: January 30, 2026. 

Prof. Abdul Rahman, whose tenure concludes in February 2026, expressed satisfaction with the current pace of work and assured the university community that providing conducive accommodation remains a central pillar of his administration's legacy.
