The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has issued an urgent advisory to students following recent reports of insecurity in the Felele area, including locations such as Small NNPC, Indori, and surrounding communities.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has issued an urgent advisory to students following recent reports of insecurity in the Felele area, including locations such as Small NNPC, Indori, and surrounding communities.

In response, the SUG leadership has engaged with relevant security agencies to enhance surveillance, improve response times, and implement precautionary measures aimed at ensuring the safety of all students. The Union emphasized that student welfare and security remain its top priority.

Key Advisory for Students:

  • Generator Use: Students are advised not to run generators throughout the night. Generators should be switched off by 12:00 midnight to avoid attracting unwanted attention.
  • Tenancy in Indori: Students residing in Indori are advised not to renew tenancy agreements until further notice, as a precautionary measure.
  • Vigilance: All students should remain alert, avoid unnecessary late-night movements, and promptly report any suspicious activities to either the SUG or the appropriate authorities.

The SUG called on the student community to cooperate fully with security agencies, stressing that safety is a collective responsibility.
