FUNAAB CIPSSON Members Commit University to God, Emphasise Professional Excellence
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) community was on January 21, 2026, committed into God’s hands by members of the Chartered Institute of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria (CIPSSON), FUNAAB Branch, during a special prayer session that also underscored the need for professionalism in service delivery.

The prayer meeting, organised to dedicate the University to God at the beginning of the year, was held at the Postgraduate School Auditorium and recorded a large turnout of CIPSSON members.
In her welcome address, the President of CIPSSON, FUNAAB Branch, Mrs. Oluwakemi Johnson, thanked God for the grace to witness another year and expressed appreciation to the University Management for approving the inauguration of the Institute within the University.
Mrs. Johnson urged members to consistently uphold professionalism, dedication, and commitment in the discharge of their official duties, noting that professional secretarial staff remain central to effective and efficient university administration.
Delivering her remarks, Dr. Elizabeth Adediran, Head of the Department of Professional Diploma in Education and NCE Part-Time Programme, Directorate of Continuing Education, Federal College of Education, Osiele, encouraged members to pursue further education while in service. She stressed that continuous training and retraining are critical to career growth, enhanced competence, faster promotion, and professional recognition.

The prayer session featured praise and intercessory prayers for the University Management, staff, students, and the nation. The prayers were led by Mrs. Omolola Omotoso, Mr. Matthew Adeogun, and Mr. Idris Sulaiman, who committed the University’s activities and aspirations for the year into God’s hands.
