FUNAAB has pledged continued support to AFUED Library as the institution transitions into a University of Education. During a courtesy visit by AFUED officials, FUNAAB’s University Librarian, Prof. Abayomi Owolabi, assured them of assistance in enhancing their library system.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) Library as the institution transitions into a full-fledged University of Education.

During a recent courtesy visit by AFUED Library officials to FUNAAB’s Nimbe Adedipe Library, the University Librarian, Prof. Abayomi Owolabi, assured the delegation of continued assistance in developing their library system to meet university standards. The visit aimed to understudy the structure and operations of the FUNAAB library to enhance AFUED's capacity for effective service delivery.

Prof. Owolabi emphasized FUNAAB’s dedication to providing guidance and support, particularly in ensuring a seamless transition from a College of Education to a University of Education. He highlighted the importance of continuous training for staff and students, stressing that a well-equipped library plays a crucial role in achieving academic excellence. Additionally, he urged the AFUED delegation to prioritize staff welfare, noting that a motivated workforce is vital for institutional growth and efficiency.

She affirmed that the lessons learned from the visit would significantly contribute to strengthening AFUED’s library operations, ensuring they meet the highest standards of university library administration.
