Eighteen distinguished graduates from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) were celebrated for their academic achievements at the 6th edition of the Pastor Dr. D.K. Olukoya Academic Award of Excellence. This recognition, held as part of the 35th anniversary of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry International, took place at the MFM International Convention Centre, Prayer City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

This year’s event marked a milestone as it recognized the highest number of awardees since the awards' inception in 2010. A total of 492 students, all of whom graduated with First Class Honours, were honored during the ceremony.

Pastor Dr. D.K. Olukoya, who founded the awards as part of his broader 70-point agenda to support youth, reflected on the program's evolution. He noted the challenges in sustaining car gifts for the recipients due to the increasing number of awardees. “Initially, we awarded cars to the top students, but as the number of deserving students grew, we shifted to providing monetary awards,” Pastor Olukoya said.
