According to an internal memorandum from the Office of the Registrar dated February 2, 2026, the extension is intended to give students ample time to complete their registration formalities.

- New Registration Deadline: Saturday, February 14, 2026
- Late Registration Penalty: ₦10,000 for students who fail to register by the deadline
- Effective Date for Penalty: Monday, February 16, 2026
The University has directed Deans and Heads of Departments (HODs) to circulate this information widely across departments and social media platforms to ensure all students are informed.
Students are strongly urged to complete their registration within the grace period to avoid incurring the late registration fee.
