Genius 360 Pays Courtesy Visit to FULOKOJA Vice-Chancellor; Pledges Enhanced ICT Support for Students

Genius 360, an Information and Communication Technology firm operating on the campus of Federal University Lokoja, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gbenga Ibileye, to express appreciation to him and the university management for their support to the firm since its establishment on campus.

The ICT outfit, which offers printing and binding of student projects, supply of stationeries and graphic design services, has grown into a dependable technology support hub for students on campus.

Speaking during the visit, the Chief Executive Officer, Aminu Abdul, who identified himself as a Master's Degree student of the university, recalled that the Vice-Chancellor had served as his VC both during an emergency appointment and now as substantive Vice-Chancellor, a continuity he described as remarkable.

He commended the Vice-Chancellor and the university management for the enabling environment they created, which gave Genius 360 the footing to grow and serve the student community.

Aminu acknowledged that while the firm had not yet reached its full potential, it was making steady and deliberate progress. "We are not where we want to be, but we are moving forward," he said, adding that the firm aspires to explore ways to give back to the university community through Corporate Social Responsibility.

Responding, Prof. Ibileye thanked Genius 360 team for the visit and for the goodwill behind it. While acknowledging the congratulatory text message he received from them earlier, the VC recalled that immediately he was announced, he received over 2,400 congratulatory messages from different people, including students and staff, and took time to personally respond to each one of them in appreciation, an effort he said he was glad had made a tangible difference.

The VC charged the young entrepreneurs to position themselves as solution providers, stressing that it is solutions, not complaints, that open doors. "There are gaps in society. If you want to thrive, it is solution that will catapult you," he said.
