GHIDI-NSUK Secures Mini-Grant for Bio-Risk Management Training

The Global Health and Infectious Diseases Control Institute at Nasarawa State University Keffi has secured a mini-grant to enhance bio-risk management training.

In collaboration with Health Security Partners, including the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Sandia National Laboratory USA, the institute organized a three-day training session for lab staff, faculty members, and research scholars.

The training focused on key areas such as biorisk assessment, biosecurity, good laboratory work practices, personal protective equipment, spill management, and biological waste management. The training aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants in bio-risk management, promoting a safe and secure working environment in laboratories.
