Gombe State University Celebrates Winners Of Maiden Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta Award Of Excellence

Gombe State University has announced the top prize winners and award recipients of the maiden Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta Award of Excellence in recognition of outstanding research and scholarly productivity.

With 21 Q1 publications, Dr. Aliyu Muhammed Awwal distinguished himself through outstanding research productivity, earning the ₦300,000 first-place prize.  For turning numbers into knowledge and research into excellence.

With 9 Q1 publications, Professor Nasiru Inuwa demonstrated remarkable scholarly excellence and research impact, earning the ₦250,000 second-place prize.  For transforming economic inquiry into knowledge that matters.

With 8 Q1 publications, Dr. Zaccheus Shehu earned recognition for his impressive contribution to high-quality research and scholarly publication, receiving the ₦200,000 third-place prize.  For advancing knowledge through purposeful and impactful research.

Dr. Yunana Ahmed distinguished himself by successfully securing a US$300,000 research grant, demonstrating excellence in competitive research funding and strengthening the University's research profile.  For turning a research vision into a grant that opens doors to greater impact.

The University congratulated these distinguished staff members for their contributions to research excellence and for projecting the image of Gombe State University on the national and international academic stage.
