Gombe State University Unveils Water Fountain, Signpost to Enhance Campus Aesthetics

Gombe State University (GSU) has unveiled and commissioned two new projects aimed at further beautifying the University environment.

The projects, a water fountain at the central roundabout on campus and a newly constructed signpost at the University’s main entrance, were commissioned by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Prof. Baba Yusuf Abubakar, alongside Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, members of the Governing Council, and University Management.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Pro-Chancellor commended the Vice-Chancellor and Management for sustaining the vision of the pioneer Vice-Chancellor, the late Professor Abdullahi Mahdi, to make Gombe State University one of the most beautiful university campuses in Nigeria.

He described the projects as significant additions that have enhanced the University’s aesthetics while creating a more serene and conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research.

The commissioning reflects Professor Yauta’s and Gombe State University’s continued commitment to infrastructural development and environmental excellence, in line with the University’s vision of providing a world-class academic environment.
