While acknowledging the support that his administration has received from both Christian and Muslim groups on campus, Professor Suleiman thanked them for ensuring religious harmony and tranquillity on campus, noting that throughout his tenure there has never been any recorded case of religious intolerance or disturbance on campus.

The Vice-Chancellor also hailed the four industrial unions on campus made up of ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT for ensuring industrial harmony on campus, stressing that since his assumption of duty, no case of local strike was recorded only National strikes in which the Unions joined their counterparts in solidarity.

Professor Suleiman reported that during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor, the University recorded an expansion in academic programs with the introduction of the Faculty of Engineering, Gudi-Campus and the College of Medical and Health Sciences in the Main Campus and a host of other Institutes and Centres which are doing well in their respective fields.

The Vice-Chancellor also used the forum to clarify the issue of increment in school fees.
