Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) Professors has reached 80 as they approve 16 new Professors
It was jubilation galore during an emergency Senate Meeting which held on Friday August 18, 2023 at the Postgraduate Hall when the Chairman of Senate Professor Okechuku Onuchuku announced that approval has been given for the elevation of sixteen academic staff to the rank of Professors and ten others to the rank o Associate Professors(Readers) with monetary benefits, Myschoolnews gathered.
With this sixteen new Professors, IAUE now has a total of eighty Professors.
Professor Onuchuku who expressed appreciation to the State Governor and Visitor to the University Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara for the approval appealed to those concerned to provide pure and adequate academic leadership in their areas of discipline and assume leadership positions if there are no professors in such areas.
The Vice Chancellor advised them to encourage others who are behind them to achieve same feat instead of stagnating them.
He described as unproductive anyone who is unable to train a staff who can take over when they are not around adding that mentorship is important and key in leadership.
