The academic team at Iconic Open University, Sokoto, has reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high standards and adhering to regulatory guidelines across all its academic programs. This commitment was highlighted during recent meetings with key stakeholders, including Faruk Abubakar, Registrar and Chief Executive of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), and Babagana Mustapha, CEO/Registrar of the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN), held in Abuja.

Anas Sanusi, the Director of Academic Planning at Iconic Open University, emphasized that the meetings aimed to enhance the university's Nursing Science program and ensure compliance with the Council’s requirements, as well as align with global standards in healthcare training. Since beginning its academic activities in 2023, the university has focused on recruiting qualified professionals and implementing modern facilities to improve teaching and learning.

Sanusi further elaborated on the university's collaboration with HRORBN, stating that the goal is to ensure the integrity of the Bachelor of Health Information Management (B.HIM) program. Both regulatory bodies expressed enthusiasm about partnering with the university to achieve excellence in healthcare education.
