Ilesa Grammar School Commences 90th Anniversary Celebrations
During the celebrations, distinguished alumni who have contributed to the nation's progress will be recognized. Additionally, developmental projects initiated by former students will be inaugurated, and a courtesy visit to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is planned.
Old students of Ilesa Grammar School in Osun State have kicked off a weeklong celebration to mark the school's 90th anniversary. The festivities began with a roadshow and a visit to the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.
Established on February 5, 1934, Ilesa Grammar School has a rich history of producing individuals who have made significant contributions to the country's development. Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, chairman of the anniversary planning committee, praised the alumni for their various interventions to support the school.

The anniversary will culminate in the laying of the foundation for the old students' national secretariat, generously donated by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. An anniversary banquet and the launch of an endowment fund will also take place.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Sola Osunkeye, an old student and pioneer Managing Director of The Sun newspapers, emphasized the importance of government prioritizing education and allocating adequate resources to the sector.
