ITF Partners UNIDEL to Host SIWES Orientation for Career Readiness under "RAISE Agenda

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Warri Area Office, organized a comprehensive SIWES orientation programme for students of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, on Thursday June 18, 2026, at the 1000 Capacity Hall, aimed at preparing them for industrial training and future careers.

The ITF Area Manager, Mrs. Juliana Gam, emphasized that SIWES remained a vital bridge between classroom learning and workplace realities, enabling students to acquire practical skills and professional experience.

Head of Training, Mr. Samuel Udoakang, delivered an insightful lecture followed by an interactive session that enhanced students' understanding of the scheme. In his opening remarks, the Director of SIWES at the University of Delta, Dr. Patrick Okwagi, encouraged the students to remain attentive throughout the programme and take advantage of the wealth of information being provided.

During a courtesy visit to the University Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Eboh, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Patrick Ijeh, expressed appreciation to the ITF and reaffirmed UNIDEL's commitment to deeper collaboration with the organization. He noted that the initiative aligned with the University's RAISE Agenda and its pursuit of academic and professional excellence.

Also present during the engagement was the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Mrs. Felicia Momah, while members of the ITF team included Mr. Olayinka Oyadeji, Head of Finance/SIWES Accounts, and Mr. Longzem Sallah, Desk Officer.
