Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) has officially released the admission requirements for its various undergraduate programs for the 2024/2025 academic session. Aspiring students must meet specific O-level and equivalent qualifications to gain entry into the diverse colleges and departments within the university.

College of Agricultural Sciences Prospective candidates must possess a minimum of five O-level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, or Economics. A pass in Physics is acceptable for agricultural-related programs.

Biochemistry (B.Sc.) Applicants need at least five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Computer Science (B.Sc.) Candidates must have five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, or Geography.

Microbiology (B.Sc.) A minimum of five O-level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and one other subject, are required. An Agricultural Science degree can substitute for Biology.

Physics Electronics (B.Sc.) Students must have five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two of Biology, Chemistry, Economics, or Geography.

Environmental Sciences

  • Architecture, Building, and Quantity Surveying: Requires five O-level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and two other subjects from a specified list.
  • Urban and Regional Planning and Geography: Five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and two other subjects are required.
  • Estate Management: Five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other subjects from a specified list.

Health Sciences The requirements align with the College of Agricultural Sciences, demanding five O-level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, or Economics.

College of Law Law candidates must have five relevant credits in WASC (SSCE), NECO, or equivalent qualifications. Additionally, an OND with upper credit, an NCE at credit level, or a recognized diploma can be considered for admission.

Prospective students must participate in a screening exercise and are advised to apply for a change of institution through JAMB if JABU is not their first choice. Students awaiting their results can also apply, provided the results will be available by September of the intended year of study.
