JABU Awards Best Graduating, First-Class Students get N12m, Others N250,000
JABU awards Nineteen-year-old Computer Science graduate N1 million for emerging as the best graduating student with a CGPA of 4.89, 22 others who also graduated with First Class honours also received N500,000 each, others in Second-Class Upper category received N250,000 each.
A Nineteen-year-old Computer Science graduate of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Mary Ogunmola, at the weekend, got a cash award of N1 million for emerging as the best graduating student with a CGPA of 4.89 during the institution’s 14th convocation ceremony.
Apart from Ogunmola, 22 others who also graduated with First Class honours also received N500,000 each for their outstanding academic performance, while those who emerged best in their departments in the Second-Class Upper category received N250,000 each.

The newly-appointed Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Anthony Adegbulugbe, who doled out the cash prizes, urged the students to utilise the skills learned in the institution for their personal development and betterment of the society.
At the ceremony, he also decried the challenges confronting tertiary institutions across the country.
