Keystone Bank Renovates Zamfara Schools, Applauds Governor Lawal's Development Initiatives
Keystone Bank has begun renovating Sarkin Kudu Primary School and Sambo Secondary School in Gusau, Zamfara State, as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The management of Keystone Bank Limited has initiated a full renovation project for Sarkin Kudu Primary School and Sambo Secondary School, both located in Gusau, Zamfara State, as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. This initiative aims to improve the learning environment for students in the state’s capital.
Keystone Bank’s Managing Director, Hassan Imam, led a team of senior bank officials on a courtesy visit to Governor Dauda Lawal at the Government House in Gusau on Saturday. During the visit, Imam praised Governor Lawal for his transformative efforts in human capital development, describing them as “remarkable strides” in Zamfara’s growth.
In response, Governor Lawal expressed his appreciation for Keystone Bank’s commitment to the state’s development, particularly in education. He stated that despite the challenges his administration inherited, his government has been dedicated to advancing the state in areas such as security and education. Governor Lawal emphasized that education is a top priority in his administration, following security, and he pledged to make Zamfara competitive with other states across Nigeria.
Governor Lawal further commended Keystone Bank's intervention in the educational sector, acknowledging that the renovation would be a lasting contribution to the state's progress. “This intervention will go down in history as a testament to your bank’s role in our success story. I look forward to commissioning these schools upon completion,” he said.
Hassan Imam also highlighted the reasons behind Keystone’s decision to focus on school renovation, describing education as a strategic choice following extensive deliberation by the bank’s management. Imam praised Governor Lawal’s administration for its achievements in education, health, and infrastructure, noting that significant progress had been made in just 17 months.
“The contractors are already on site, and the work has commenced,” Imam announced, emphasizing Keystone Bank's commitment to the project and the positive impact it is expected to have on the state.
With ongoing efforts by Keystone Bank and the support of the Zamfara State government, the Sarkin Kudu Primary School and Sambo Secondary School are set to provide enhanced educational facilities for students, reflecting a joint dedication to educational advancement in the state.
