According to a statement released by the Commisioner for Information and Communication, Honourable Kingsley Olorunfemi Fanwo, four students are still yet to be found. However, there is a glimmer of hope as security forces continue their relentless efforts to locate and rescue them.

The successful rescue operation was made possible by a fierce gun battle between security agencies and the kidnappers. The exchange of gunfire forced the abductors to succumb to the superior firepower of the security forces, leading them to abandon the kidnapped students.
