LASU Alumnus Victory Ashaka Wins Prestigious Lord’s Achievers Award

Victory Ashaka, a distinguished alumnus of Lagos State University (LASU), has been honored with the Icon of Impact in Literature Award at the 2025 Lord’s Achievers Award. The award recognizes outstanding achievers across diverse fields, particularly young people transforming Nigeria’s future.

Ashaka, a graduate of the Department of English, Faculty of Arts, is a multi-award-winning spoken word poet, youth advisor to the European Union, climate leader, and Lagos State Youth Ambassador. His contributions to literature and advocacy have solidified his place as one of Nigeria’s most inspiring young voices.

Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, Vice-Chancellor of LASU, congratulated Ashaka on his achievement, describing him as a shining example of the university’s excellence. She commended his contributions to literature, youth development, and global advocacy, noting that his accomplishments reflect LASU’s core values of excellence, service, and integrity.
