Lagos State University has invited its students to participate in the 2026 edition of the Opay National Innovation Challenge, a nationwide initiative focused on fostering innovation, creativity, and technology-driven solutions.

The invitation, issued through the university’s Centre for the Actualisation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, is in collaboration with Opay Digital Services Limited.

According to the university, interested students are required to form five-member teams and develop innovative, practical ideas for submission via the Opay application portal. The initiative is designed to encourage problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking among students, particularly in addressing real-world challenges through technology.

The application portal is expected to open in March 2026, with prospective participants advised to begin team formation and project development ahead of the deadline.

For further details and necessary documentation, students have been directed to liaise with the LASU-SDG Office located on the third floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building at the university’s main campus in Ojo.

The university described the initiative as part of its broader commitment to innovation, capacity building, and active engagement in sustainable development programmes.
