LASU Centre for Yoruba Studies to Host Public Lecture on Cultural Preservation

The Lagos State University (LASU) Centre for Yoruba Studies is set to hold a public lecture tomorrow, October 29, in celebration of Yoruba Week 2024. Themed "The Preservation of the Yoruba Language and Cultural Heritage for National Development," the lecture will explore ways to safeguard Yoruba traditions and language in today’s evolving cultural landscape.

The event, which promises engaging discussions on cultural preservation's role in Nigeria’s national development, will be held at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre on LASU’s Main Campus in Ojo, Lagos. It will commence at 11:00 AM.
