The award-winning work was presented by Dr. Elizabeth Abosede Temidayo, a graduate of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education. Her thesis, titled “Efficacy of Health Literacy Capability and Health Promotion Models on the Management of Dementia in the Elderly among Caregivers in Lagos State,” stood out for its scholarly depth and relevance to public health and education.
The recognition was formally conferred during the Foundation’s 23rd Annual Lecture, which took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Muson Centre’s La Scala Hall in Onikan, Lagos. The event brought together distinguished academics and thought leaders committed to advancing excellence in Nigeria’s educational landscape.

Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, commended Dr. Temidayo, her supervisor, Professor John Adeogun, Director of the Sandwich Degree Programme, and the Faculty of Education for the achievement. She described the recognition as a testament to LASU’s continued leadership in producing impactful research and reaffirmed the Faculty of Education’s role as the “mother of all faculties” within the university system.
