LASU Vice-Chancellor Celebrates Dr. Fatimo Ogechukwu Aliu’s National Honour
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has congratulated Dr. Fatimo Ogechukwu Aliu, Coordinator of the University’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) Programme, on her emergence as Best MPA Coordinator in Nigeria for 2025.
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has congratulated Dr. Fatimo Ogechukwu Aliu, Coordinator of the University’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) Programme, on her emergence as Best MPA Coordinator in Nigeria for 2025.

The highly competitive national award was conferred by the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration in recognition of Dr. Aliu’s exceptional leadership, innovative programme management and sustained contributions to postgraduate public administration education across the country.
Professor Olatunji-Bello described the recognition as well-earned, noting that Dr. Aliu’s commitment to academic excellence, curriculum innovation and student development has elevated LASU’s MPA programme to national prominence. She added that the award is a clear reflection of LASU’s institutional culture of excellence in teaching, research and professional training for public service.
The Vice-Chancellor further reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting and rewarding innovation, diligence and high-impact scholarship, stressing that staff who distinguish LASU on the national and international stage remain a strategic priority of the administration.
