The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has recently reaffirmed its commitment to environmental education and sustainability by engaging with students of Otto Primary School, Lagos Mainland, on the benefits of recycling.

Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, who recently visited the school on Wednesday Dec. 6th, emphasised the importance of instilling environmental sustainability consciousness into the younger generation, adding that LAWMA was working to promote proper waste management culture across schools in the state.

He said, “LAWMA’s commitment to environmental education extends beyond Otto Primary School. We are promoting responsible waste management practices across schools in the state, to build a future that we will be proud of. The Authority is also stepping up its programme to educate residents on waste reduction, recycling, and proper waste disposal.

In attendance were the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Ms. Ranti Dosunmu; Director, Advocacy, Mr. Adewunmi Adetona and Director, LAWMA Academy, Training & Development, Mrs. Bola Adewunmi among others.
