Lawmaker Pushes for New Entrepreneur University in Lagos to Boost Employment
Kalejaiye expressed concern about the high number of unemployable graduates and highlighted the need for re-entrepreneurship and re-convertibility training to enhance productivity and innovation.

Paul Kalejaiye, a member of the House of Representatives for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituency, has called for the establishment of an entrepreneur university in Lagos State. Kalejaiye, speaking to journalists on Monday, emphasized the necessity of the university given the state's large population.
Kalejaiye, along with his colleague Babajimi Benson of Ikorodu Constituency, has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to establish the university in Ikorodu. The bill has passed its first reading and is set for a second reading.

"There is a pressing need for a second federal university in Lagos due to its populous and diverse nature," Kalejaiye stated. He highlighted the importance of a specialized entrepreneur university focused on skill development and employability.
Kalejaiye expressed concern about the high number of unemployable graduates and underscored the need for re-entrepreneurship and re-convertibility training to enhance productivity and innovation.
In addition to this initiative, Kalejaiye has been active in addressing other developmental issues in his constituency. He has proposed converting the moribund federal government press in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, established in 1975, into a skill acquisition center. This motion has been passed and is currently in progress.
The federal press, once used for printing government documents when Lagos was the Federal Capital Territory, has been largely abandoned since the capital moved to Abuja, and has since turned into an event center.
