The University of Ilorin commemorated the 2024 International Peace Day today with a distinguished lecture delivered by Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff. The event took place at the University Auditorium, showcasing the institution’s commitment to promoting peace and strategic studies.
This initiative was organized by the University of Ilorin's Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies in collaboration with the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre in Jaji. The lecture highlighted the importance of peace in contemporary society and foster discussions on effective leadership in peacekeeping efforts.
