Lincoln University NSUK Campus Makes History with First Student Matriculation

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) made history as it matriculated over 500 pioneer students into various programs of Lincoln University, Malaysia. This marked the official launch of the Transnational Education Program, for which NSUK is the first university in North Central Nigeria to receive approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The colourful matriculation ceremony took place at NSUK's Assembly Hall and was attended by prominent figures from Lincoln University, Malaysia, including the President, Professor Amiya Bhaumik, the Pro-Chancellor, Professor Batuk Bibi Florina Binti Abdullah, and CEO Lincoln University Nigeria, Dr. Murtadho Alao. Leading the NSUK delegation was Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, alongside the Registrar, Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II, the University Bursar, Mallam Murtala Abubakar Kana, and other key university officials.

Also in attendance were Lincoln University, Malaysia’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic & International Affairs, Associate Professor Munir Kolapo Yahaya-Imam, the Registrar, Mr. Mohammed Amer Shah-Bin-Mazlan-Marugan, and Dr. Abubakar Umar, Registrar of the NSUK Campus. 

The highpoint of the event was the administration of the matriculation oath, conducted by Mr. Mohammed Amer Shah-Bin-Mazlan-Marugan, formally inducting the students into Lincoln University, Malaysia’s academic community.

This milestone event solidified the collaboration between the two institutions, advancing transnational education opportunities for students in Nigeria.
