Lydia Ogar Achieves First-Class Honours in Biochemistry at Federal University Gusau

The academic community is celebrating the exceptional success of Lydia Ogar, who has graduated with First-Class Honours from the Department of Biochemistry at the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS).

Ogar achieved this milestone with a notable Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.60/5.00. Reflecting on her journey in January 2026, she described the achievement as a testament to resilience, noting that she overcame periods of fear and exhaustion through persistent effort. 

Her success adds to the growing profile of the Faculty of Science at Federal University Gusau, which recently matriculated over 900 new students for the 2025/2026 academic session as part of its continued expansion. 

Ogar joins a select group of high-achieving graduates from the institution, following other recent top performers such as Jafar Suleiman, who secured First-Class honors in Public Administration in late 2025. Her story has since garnered widespread commendation across academic social platforms, serving as an inspiration for current STEM students nationwide.
