MAU Yola Partners with Cury Seal Group to Launch Industrial Academic Centre for Technological Innovation

Modibbo Adama University, Yola (MAU Yola) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cury Seal Group, a technology and innovation-driven company focused on developing indigenous solutions for engineering digital systems and industrial automation.

As part of the partnership, the University has provided space within its premises for the establishment of the Industrial Academic Centre (IAC), the MAU Blue R&D and Innovation Centre.

The facilities, will include renovated workspaces, accommodation, in-house laboratories, and ICT-enabled laboratory infrastructure to support joint operations.

The MoU aims to establish a collaborative platform for advanced research, capacity building, and the commercialization of innovations, while effectively bridging the gap between academia and industry through research, innovation, and hands-on skills development. 

The partnership, will also enable the joint delivery of virtual, remote, and hybrid professional courses, facilitated by experts from Nigeria, India, and other countries.

The Vice-Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Professor Ibrahim Umar, signed the agreement on behalf of the University, while Cury Seal Group Deputy Manager, Dr. Abubakar Usman Ma'aji, signed on behalf of Cury Seal Group.

The collaboration, is expected to enhance regional technological development, strengthen industry academic linkages, and position the University as a hub for innovation and practical skill acquisition.
