Maxeeton Technology, Kashim Ibrahim University Sign MoU to Advance IT, AI, Robotics and Agritech

Maxeeton Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kashim Ibrahim University (KIU), Maiduguri, to collaborate in the areas of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Drone Technology, and digital innovation.

The MoU was signed during a courtesy visit by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Maxeeton Technology, Abdullahi Usman Abbati, and his delegation to the Vice-Chancellor of Kashim Ibrahim University, Professor Babagana Gutti.

Speaking during the visit, Abbati said the partnership is aimed at promoting research, innovation, and the development of indigenous educational technology solutions.

He explained that the collaboration will focus on the research, design, and development of a humanoid robot built from recycled waste car bumpers, as well as an AI-powered Agritech drone designed to address local agricultural challenges.

According to him, the initiative promotes sustainable engineering by transforming waste materials into valuable technological products while demonstrating the practical benefits of a circular economy.

Abbati further stated that the AI-powered Agritech drone will support farmers through precision agriculture by enhancing crop monitoring, efficient resource management, and improved agricultural productivity.

He added that the partnership will provide students and researchers of Kashim Ibrahim University with opportunities for hands-on training, research, and innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Drone Technology, Embedded Systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Vision, and Smart Agriculture.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti, warmly welcomed the Maxeeton Technology team and commended the initiative. He described Information Technology as a transformative force capable of changing lives, driving economic growth and accelerating national development.

Professor Gutti reaffirmed the University's commitment to embracing emerging technologies and fostering innovation that will position Borno State as a leading hub for technological advancement.

He disclosed that the University is making plans to establish a Faculty of Computing to bridge the existing skills gap in digital technology and produce highly skilled professionals capable of competing in the global digital economy.

He noted that the collaboration with Maxeeton Technology aligns with the University's vision of developing innovative solutions to societal challenges while equipping students with the practical knowledge and technological expertise required in today's rapidly evolving world.

The MoU marks another significant milestone in Kashim Ibrahim University's drive to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and promote cutting-edge research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven development.
