McPherson University Final Year Students Hold Thanksgiving Service
Final year students of McPherson University have held a Thanksgiving Service to mark the spiritual wind-down of their undergraduate journey.
The event, held at the Stephen and Hannah Obaro Multipurpose Hall, was filled with gratitude, joy, and shouts of victory. Students, lecturers, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate with the soon-to-be graduates, affectionately called the “Originals,” for years of academic rigour, personal growth, and divine protection.

In her address, the University Chaplain, Rev. Ibiwunmi Alo, urged the students to remain grateful, hold fast to the values and faith instilled in them at the University, and go forth as ambassadors of excellence and integrity.
The service marked the conclusion of their final examinations. With graduation in sight and only the forthcoming convocation ceremonies left, the McPherson University Class of 2026 is set to join the University’s global alumni network with a legacy of discipline and faith, prepared to contribute meaningfully both locally and internationally.
