Meet Abdullahi Ibrahim, the President of the National Union of Yobe State Students ATBU

Abdullahi Ibrahim, popularly known as "Warris," was born in the Yindiski area of Dogo Nini ward in the Potiskum metropolis of Yobe State.

He started his elementary school at Yindiski Primary School from 2003-2009, where he obtained his primary school leaving certificate. From there, he proceeded to Government Science and Technical College Potiskum, where he earned his secondary school certificate.

After graduating from secondary school, he proceeded to Federal College of Education (T) Potiskum for a Certificate in Computer Science in 2017, which he couldn't complete. He sat for UTME the same year and was admitted into the Department of Automotive Engineering.

During the 8-month ASUU strike, he seized that opportunity and went back to complete his national diploma in Computer Science at FCE(T) Potiskum.

Along his journey in Engineering, he has attended 2 National Annual Meetings and Engineering Conferences of the Nigeria Society of Engineers.

He has held several leadership positions, including:

- Water Prefect during his junior secondary school days.

- Uniform Prefect, Press Club President, PRO of MSSN, Auditor General at Young Forecaster, and Academic Director of Jet Club during his secondary school days.

- Former Treasurer NUESA ATBU BAUCHI

- Former National Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) of the National Union of Yobe State Students.

- Former Coordinator at Youth Assembly of Nigeria (2019-2023)

- Current Deputy Speaker, Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Potiskum LGA

- Former Special Assistant to NUESA President (2021)

- Former Director of Media and Publicity to NUYOSS National President (2021)

- Currently, The President, National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS), ATBU BAUCHI.

Aside from academics and other leadership positions, Abdullahi Warris is a renowned businessman who deals with clothing.
