Meet Professor Iya Abubakar, the first Northern Nigerian to earn PhD

Abubakar's academic achievements include being appointed as a Professor of Mathematics at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) at 33 and serving as Vice Chancellor of ABU from 40 to 44. He also held prominent roles in public service, including Minister of Defence and Senator representing Adamawa North from 1999 to 2007.
