Meet Sarah Ezenwaebube, The Only First-class Mechanical Engineer In Her Department

Sarah Ezenwaebube has made history as the Best Graduating Female Mechanical Engineer, Class of 2024, with an impressive First Class Honours degree and a CGPA of 4.57/5.00.

She achieved a perfect 5.00 CGPA in her final year and was the only student out of over 100 to achieve a perfect 5.00 CGPA in 500 Level.

She had the highest score in Applied Fluid Mechanics with 98% and maintained a perfect 5.00 CGPA for three consecutive semesters. Ezenwaebube has received several scholarships and awards, including the UNIDO KPABEB Scholarship, Julius Berger Nigeria Scholarship Award, and League of Freedomites Scholarship Award.

She also won 1st place in the APWEN Maiden Poster & Lightning Competition 2024 and 2nd place in the APWEN Engineering Quiz Competition 2023. Ezenwaebube authored a paper titled "Refrigerants and Carbon Footprints: A Study of Innovative Technologies and Strategies for Reducing Carbon Emissions" at the APWEN 2024 conference.

Her achievements serve as an inspiration to aspiring engineers, particularly women, and demonstrate the impact of determination and hard work on academic success.
