Mekelle University Delegation Visits China to Forge Strategic Academic Partnerships

Mekelle University has launched a significant academic tour to China, led by Dr. Abdulkadir Kedir, the Academic Vice President. The strategic tour is aimed at strengthening academic collaborations, facilitating staff and student exchanges, and exploring new opportunities for joint research and academic partnerships with renowned Chinese universities and research institutes .

To date, the delegation has visited several universities and institutes, including South China Agricultural University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Xiamen University, China BRICS Institute of Science and Technology Innovation Park, East China University of Science and Technology, and Tongji University. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with selected universities and research institutes, formalizing partnerships and paving the way for future cooperation.

This initiative reflects Mekelle University’s commitment to expanding its global network and enhancing academic collaborations with Chinese institutions.
