Midwifery Students Association UCH Chapter Celebrates 2025 Week

The Midwifery Students Association, UCH Chapter, held a symposium on "Midwives Guardians of Safe Beginnings - Past, Present and Future" as part of the 2025 Midwifery Week.

The event aimed to enhance professional development and appreciation of midwifery roles in healthcare. Speakers highlighted midwives' crucial contributions to safe pregnancies, births, and postpartum care.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, charged midwives to strengthen education, advocate for better working conditions, foster teamwork, and prioritize women's and newborns' healthcare needs .
