The MTN Foundation has announced its commitment to nurturing musical talent among Nigerian students through its 2024 Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Scholarship Programme. The initiative, unveiled on Tuesday, aims to support aspiring young musicians in overcoming the challenges they face on their journey to success.

In a statement, the MTN Foundation highlighted the purpose of the MTN-MUSON Scholarship Programme, emphasizing its role in transforming the prospects of aspiring musicians. "The music industry is brimming with creative and ambitious talents, yet many aspiring Nigerian musicians face uncertainty on their path to success. This MTN-MUSON Scholarship Programme is designed to change that," the foundation said.

The programme, a collaboration between MTN Foundation and MUSON, seeks to provide a comprehensive experience that prepares young talents for both national and global stages. It offers scholars world-class training to refine their musical skills, gain a deeper understanding of the music business, and foster a greater appreciation for the arts.

Since its inception, the MTN-MUSON Scholarship Programme has supported over 484 alumni, many of whom have emerged as influential figures in the music industry, both locally and internationally. The MTN Foundation has invested approximately N29.4 billion in 1,052 projects across Nigeria since its establishment in 2004.
