NAOSS-UDUS Solicits Support for Rad Basirat in Kidnappers Captivity

The National Association of Osun State Students(NAOSS) Health wing, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, solicited for both financial assistance and prayers from well-meaning Nigerians for one of its members who is currently in Kidnappers captivity. 

The flood of kidnapping has aroused more than what the country should hold breath on especially as Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Day. A newly inducted radiographer from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto while returning to her state was captivated by the darkness of happiness who harbour the vicinity in the country

Rad Basirat Ojedeyi, a newly inducted radiographer and third best graduating student who was announced on 24th of September, 2025, was abducted while returning to her home state, Osun state.

According to the flyer released “ she was kidnapped around 2 pm on the 29th of September in Niger state along Mashegu local government in the state through the felegu and ibbi road”

She was abducted alongside several passengers in the bus whose freedom has been apprehended by the captivators. Speaking with our correspondent, one of the relatives disclosed“They requested two hundred million Naira for her release”

The entire family and NAOSS have appealed to the authorities and the general public on her return “We would be grateful for any effort you can make to bring oyedeyi bashirat home safely.”
