Nasarawa First Lady Rallies Support For Newly Appointed VC Of NSUK
The first lady of Nasarawa State, Her Excellency Hajia Silifa Abdullahi Sule has pledged her commitment to rally support from all women in and outside the state for the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan to enable her excel in her new assignment.
Hajia Silifa gave the commitment while speaking at the grand reception organized by freinds and associates of Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman in honour of her appointment as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the University at the Keffi Hotel on Sunday 5th May 2024.
The first lady noted that the appointment of Professor Sa'adatu did not come to her and other women as a surprise taking into consideration her precedents and track records which speaks volumes. She charged her to use this God given opportunity to show the world that women have the capacity to perform and deliver when it matters the most.

Hajia Silifa also used the opportunity to challenge parents on the upbringing of their children. She advised mothers to pay serious attention to their wards on the type of devices they use and friends they keep to ensure that they don't mingle with the wrong company.
In her response, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman thanked the first lady and the organisers of the reception for the honour stressing that the outpouring of love and support she has received since the announcement of her appointment has been overwhelming.
In attendance at the event were the Chief Justice of Nasarawa State, Her Lordship Justice Aisha Bashir, former first ladies of Nasarawa State, Hajia Salamatu Tanko Almakura and Hajia Khadija Abdullahi Adamu, the Honorable Commissioner of Finance Budget and Economic Planning, Hajia Munira Abdullahi, Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs Hajia Aisha Rufai, the Executive Secretary of Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, Hon. Sa'adatu Yahaya, former commissioners Honorable Halima Jabiru, and Hon Mary Enwogulu amongst other very important dignitaries that graced the occasion.
