Nasarawa State Government Secretary Pledges Support for Nasarawa State University, Keffi

Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, PhD, the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, has pledged to support Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) in its quest to become a world-class institution.

This commitment was made on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, during a congratulatory visit from the University's management at his office in Lafia.

As a former Governing Council Member of NSUK, Barrister Magaji acknowledged that his experience at the University has prepared him for his new role. He expressed gratitude for the skills and knowledge gained during his time at NSUK, stating that he is now committed to giving back to the institution.

 

Barrister Magaji also reiterated the commitment of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to support NSUK's growth and development. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, expressed optimism that Barrister Magaji will perform creditably well and assured him that the University is solidly behind him.

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the University, Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, represented by Council Member Honorable Thomas Ogiri, congratulated Barrister Magaji on his new appointment and described it as well-deserved. Hon. Ogiri recalled Barrister Magaji's positive contributions to the University's Governing Council and wished him a successful and impactful tenure.

 

This pledge of support from the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State is a positive indication of the University's prospects for growth and development.
