Federal University Lokoja Vice-Chancellor Pays Courtesy Visit to Olú of Apata

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Akinwumi, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Oba (Amb.) Dr. Fredrick Durojaye Balogun Irede I, Olulagedu vi, The Olú of Apata (Ipatun)-Oworo Kingdom, to congratulate him on his 10th Coronation Anniversary.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor and the Olú of Apata discussed ways to support the university's infrastructural development. The king commiserated with the university over the loss of some students last month and reiterated his commitment to the university's growth, promising to donate boreholes on the Felele Campus and facilitate interventions from the Dangote Group.

Professor Akinwumi expressed his gratitude for the king's support, highlighting the importance of community-university partnerships in driving economic growth. He was accompanied by the University Bursar, Mr. John Sule Shilo, and the Acting Head of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Dr. Tósìn Ọlágúnjú.
