Nasarawa State University Mourns Tragic Loss as Female Student Takes Her Own Life
The 21-year-old undergraduate allegedly took her own life by consuming a poisonous substance at an off-campus lodge near Family and Friends Hotel area, opposite Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The Nasarawa State University community is in mourning following the tragic death of a 100-level Microbiology student, Maikeffi Redemption Sarah. The 21-year-old undergraduate allegedly took her own life by consuming a poisonous substance at an off-campus lodge near Family and Friends Hotel area, opposite Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Sarah, the fourth and last born of her family, was found lifeless on Friday evening, prompting immediate efforts by students and neighbors to save her. Despite attempts, including the use of palm oil, the unfortunate incident proved fatal.

Her male friend, who shared the devastating news on Facebook, confirmed the incident, expressing shock at the sudden loss. According to him, they had spoken on Thursday evening, and Sarah was supposed to attend a wedding on Saturday before returning to Akwanga from Keffi on Sunday.
The lifeless body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary in Keffi, and a relative posted on Facebook that she would be buried on Saturday in Akwanga, her hometown.
