Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has achieved a significant milestone by ranking 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and securing the 8th position among Nigerian universities, according to the Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings 2024 released on November 27, 2024, by Times Higher Education. The rankings are among the most reputable in the world, known for their comprehensive evaluation of academic institutions.

In the Sub-Saharan Africa rankings, NSUK follows only seven Nigerian universities:
