Nasarawa State University Ranks 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa, 8th in Nigeria
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has been ranked 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and 8th in Nigeria in the Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings 2024 by Times Higher Education.

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has achieved a significant milestone by ranking 36th in Sub-Saharan Africa and securing the 8th position among Nigerian universities, according to the Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings 2024 released on November 27, 2024, by Times Higher Education. The rankings are among the most reputable in the world, known for their comprehensive evaluation of academic institutions.
In the Sub-Saharan Africa rankings, NSUK follows only seven Nigerian universities:
- American University of Nigeria, Yola (12th)
- Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (21st)
- Covenant University (26th)
- Landmark University (27th)
- Lagos State University (30th)
- University of Ibadan (31st)
- Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (32nd)
This positions NSUK as the second-best state university in Nigeria, trailing only Lagos State University.
