NDPC, NSUK Sign MoU to Strengthen Data Protection, Privacy

The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), to strengthen institutional collaboration and promote data protection and privacy within the University and beyond.

The MoU was signed when the National Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of NDPC, Dr Vincent Olatunji, received the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, and other university officials.

Speaking after the signing, Professor Liman said the agreement builds on the existing relationship between both institutions and reaffirmed NSUK’s commitment to serving as a pacesetter among tertiary institutions in advancing data protection and privacy in Nigeria.

Dr Olatunji, in his remarks, commended the University’s management for its proactive approach to data protection and privacy, noting that the partnership would deepen collaboration in human capital development and awareness creation. He also announced the establishment of an implementation committee to drive the execution of the MoU.
