NELFUND Expands Student Loan Program to 16 More State Institutions
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the addition of 16 more state-owned tertiary institutions to its student loan application portal. Students from the newly added institutions can now apply for loans by logging onto the NELFUND portal at http://nelf.gov.ng.
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the addition of 16 more state-owned tertiary institutions to its student loan application portal.
This significant expansion follows the previous onboarding of 70 institutions,further widening the program’s reach and impact. “We are delighted to share that an additional 16 state-owned institutions have now been added to the portal,” NELFUND stated in a press release.“This brings our total to 86 state-owned institutions,providing greater access to student loans for students across the country.”

The newly onboarded state-owned institutions listed are as follows:
1. Cross River State University
2. University of Delta, Agbor
3. Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki
4. Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology
5. Imo State Polytechnic, Omuma
6. Kaduna State University
7. Prince Audu Abubakar University, Anyigba
8. Kwara State College of Education, Oro
9. Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade
10. Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan
11. Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State
12. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo
13. Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele
14. First Technical University, Ibadan
15. Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences, Jalingo
16. Mai Idris Alooma Polytechnic, Gaidam, Yobe State

The press release also emphasized the importance of data submission for institutions yet to participate.“Again,we are urging institutions that are yet to submit their accurate and complete student data to do so timely for their students to benefit from the program,” NELFUND stressed.
